Hideaway Ideas

that create… me time.

This Garden Design Sold A House.

“We were moving house at the time and stumbled across this property. What was a hard decision initially —being sure that this is what we wanted, it became easier because of the garden. It sold the house for us. Seeing this hidden corner in the design meant plain grassy acres became purposeful. We had somewhere to rest away from the world.”

How Does It work For The Clients Needs?

Spaces like this let you walk in exactly as you are while nature takes care of itself. “I have a challenging job, so coming home to a calm corner to entertain ourselves or others combines well for us. There’s freedom to socialise in a space like this at anytime.”

Works In Progress

It begins with connection. That’s one core identity of the hideaway. The circular erected space creates height, cosiness and seclusion from the background noise of life.

It’s a multipurpose Mediterranean oasis. During lockdown for COVID-19, this served as an outdoor office and romantic space for the previous owner. But planting and designs are unique to the client. Japanese hideaways are just as beautiful. You can walk or sit side by side with someone you love.

Should I Consider This Option?

Often, we find ourselves thinking about all that we would like to do, but rarely having the time to do it. This is a positive solution that can suit any individual or reasonably sized garden with that in mind — and yes, even a small garden works well.

Hideaway ideas pave the way for me time or us time sooner.

Our Top 3 Questions

  • When we work with our clients, we take a lot of care and listen to the daily life of the person or peoples potentially using this garden design idea.

Hideaways are sensory and inclusive for all kinds of bodies; whether the client needs us to support special needs, create wheel chair access or simply create calm when someone is distressed. It's practical and great for rehabilitation for the mind.

The potential of hideaways is growing. Let us know if there is a specific disability you would like us to work with in your bespoke design, so we can aim to improve your quality of life.

  • While this Mediterranean Hideaway is in a larger space, we have also achieved the same ambience and structural changes in smaller spaces.

We work to the cm to make your needs met. However, we also manage expectations by adjusting the design idea; especially if we feel it doesn't suit the space or we have thought of something better, with more use for you in the everyday.

So let's start with booking a home visit and creating sketches.

  • It varies on the size of the garden, economic climate in supplies, and desired scale. We work with client budgets and if we feel that a design can be enhanced, such as the Hideaway Idea, then we would look to either work in phases throughout the year or let you build the budget you would like to work with to have the design ready for a certain deadline.

Each phase must be paid for with a deposit before work starts.

The current Hideaway shown had its own unique material and labour costs. Sharing the price would not reflect the prices of these variables today. We advise clients to let us give you a direct quote for a bespoke design and breakdown of material costs.
